9.5 OBJECTS

There are times when an object tells a powerful story, whether it’s a knife once used for performing FGM/C, a demonstration model used in community health education, or a mosquito-proof crib. We should aim to shoot these in a powerful way and use them to bring a story to life. When you depict objects, it is good practice to show them in use, i.e. with some sort of human presence (for example, people using jerrycans): this makes the shot more meaningful and accessible.
